I’m brand new to the world of watches (and watch forums) but I felt compelled to register and post about my rather bizarre and disappointing experience with Tudor, more specifically the Pelagos 39. I have lusted after a premium watch for a long time now and finally decided after a terrible year in 2022 to put myself first and treat myself. I'm a very big fan of the Pelagos, but it isn't the "only" well made, good featured watch. Reading this thread, I can't help but think that some air of snobbery surrounds it due to Tudor's affiliation with Rolex. The Pelagos shares its outters with Rolex and that for this particular watch, is where the similarities end. I think the Pelagos 39 will become that kind of watch. I dare say it's visually a bit more versatile than the BB58 due to the more neutral colors and probably a better wearer due to the titanium and T-fit. I recently picked up the new Pelagos 39 and I absolutely love it. It's not perfect but probably the strongest Tudor offering in a long time. Here are some initial pictures and mini review.
