I've owned both Dior Homme Intense and Dior Homme Parfum for over a year now so thought I would share my experience on what I feel are the major differences..Dior is really a mess with this line to be honest. Robert Pattinson’s ad was created just for the new Dior Homme EDT (2020) and nothing to do with the former Dior Homme Original, Intense, and Parfum. If I were to compare the 2020 EDT to the Intense, it’d be like comparing a banana to an orange bc they’re so different.
While the opening of Intense is better, it dries down into more of a chocolate powdery sort of aroma, that simply isn’t as pleasing to me as is the entire life cycle of Dior Homme. Homme Intense gives better performance, though, that gap can mostly be closed by spraying a bit more Dior Homme. Dior Homme is so subtle, refined, and layered. I’d say DHI wins for me though, it’s a masterpiece of a fragrance. I have Dior Homme (2011), Dior Homme Intense and Dior Homme Parfum and they’re all in my top fragrances. I kind of agree with Jagonh about going another direction but if you wanna stay quite close from BdC parfum i suggest Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum(current formulation), I have both BdC parfum and Eau Sauvage parfum and they share a similar clean vibe.
